Awwww, S4 Leaguers are being thanked for their support! How adorable! Let's see...

O-Oh... I guess players who simply play this game aren't considered supporters? As if the people who throw money at this broken game is the only thing keeping this game alive? 

No matter how you look at it, that's not true, and that's the biggest mistake these people (whoever is in charge) are making.

But anyways, winter and gratitude... I see...

I mean, if they had mentioned something about Christmas it would make relatively more sense... But they didn't, and that's what's so hilarious about this.

But hey, maybe this could indicate a future event where players get a chance to win those listed rewards above (or anything similar), and the reason why this promotion "thank-you gift" only lasts for a very short amount of time (this event started 4/12/15) is to persuade people to spend money (for those who are able to). It seems to be a common method that happens in this game, anyways.

[Op-ed] Fumbi, Mage mystery box?

Oh wow, a mystery box for the blue longtail. Nothing special. Let me just click on it and see what's inside...

That text... It seems so out of place. It would be fine if s4 league had an actual storyline that was relevant to this so-called "Fumbi, Mage" (By the way, what's with that comma in between the "Fumbi" and "Mage"? Is that guy's name actually "Mage Fumbi"?) like how I've seen other games do it, but no, they just decided use some irrelevant text with a weird-looking title font.

I even thought it had some kind of Halloween-theme to it, but they didn't bother with that either. Maybe they wanted to do that, but forgot to mention it. That would be a mistake on their part, don't you think? 

For those who have been around long enough, you should know that a longtail mystery box is anything but special. We've had several instances where it was on sale already. I guess it's just the marketing team's attempt in targeting the newer players. But then again, what new players? S4 League isn't exactly a newbie-friendly game anymore, that's for sure.

Another thing: can we talk about that grammar? I know my grammar isn't perfect, but come on now. "Opportunities don't often come along"? Pretty sure they meant something along the lines of "Opportunities like this don't come around that often." My middle school English teacher would've been on the floor crying if she saw me write like that. Good thing I don't, eh?

[Op-ed] A Particular Mystery Box

I usually don't give a damn about the mystery boxes since they seem like complete rip-offs, but I found this funny enough to write about. Plus I'm getting some writing practice down, whoop whoop.
The mystery box I'm referring to is the Green Angel Padding Chest&Pants.

It's comical that they're literally only selling the top and the bottom. Whatever happened to the shoes, accessory, and gloves? What a joke! Hey, maybe they'll make a separate mystery box with those said items. And I thought the absence of the gloves on the Kimono set was bad, BAHA.

of course there's the male version too (which is also missing the other pieces) but who plays male characters nowadays, am I right?! That was a joke for those who are too slow to get it.

Just for old-time's sake, I'd like to recall: wasn't the green version of the Angel Padding Set distributed on accident when it was supposed to be the normal forcepack version? I think players were eventually compensated, and they were also allowed to keep their green version sets. My, things have certainly changed.

[Op-ed] S4 League's Community Character Creation V2

In celebration of S4 League's 7th year anniversary wow, this game survived that long? another Community Character Creation contest is hosted. I feel like it's just their excuse to get some original outfit ideas, since they seem to be running out of those, hence the re-skins of certain sets cough. But anyways... I actually considered joining the event and try to get my set turned into virtual reality. It's pretty cool to see your own creation get made into a game you play. Well, that was the original plan anyways... until I saw the actual prizes.

First prize is about 50 euros plus other things I'll get to later... 50 euros for a set that they will market off of and could potentially bring them a lot more than 50 euros otherwise, it wouldn't be considered as first place, right? The ironic part of this is that everything sold on S4 ever since Aeria took over has been overpriced. The first place prize is only gonna cover you the 2nd tiered spender, LOL. I'm not even going to get into the 2nd and 3rd place prizes.

of course there's also the rookie tier and monthly tier, but let's keep things simple here.

Anyways... I rather have my efforts spent on something else. There are people in the real world who pay commissions that are a lot more than 50 euros and that's just for artwork. Whatever, people may do as they please; I was just pointing out how subpar the prizes are.
Some people might like the idea of their creation being implemented in a game and could care less about the prize. Good for them. 

Good luck to those who enter. Maybe I'll do a continuation of this post when the winner is announced. Ah, so exciting! Despite how bad the prizes are, I'm looking forward to the winning set. I'm sick of seeing all the re-skins, anyways.

So with all that said, I think I'll bullshit my entry just so I would receive the participation prize, which is the 50k pen. Or maybe I won't even bother.
